Estate Consultation

Estate consultations are designed primarily for clients but are more frequently being used by lawyers seeking confidential litigation strategy on their estate or incapacity related cases.

For clients, the first appointment begins with a consultation meeting and Wendy involves other professionals as you and she determine that your case may require.

For some clients, all they wish is to have is one single consultation meeting. The estate administration process can be complicated procedurally and emotionally and some clients are looking for basic information and an overview about the process and insight into what they are experiencing.

During the consultation meeting, Wendy will answer your questions, outline options available for you, and offer suggestions based on her experience in estate litigation and her observations as a mediator and private court arbitrator. You can then decide and choose how you would like to proceed – either on your own or with further legal advice and support.

Wendy can also partner with your current lawyer to provide advice, guidance, and strategy relating to the estate or incapacity issues of your case.

For some clients and lawyers, they may choose to have a formal written legal opinion on complex client issues in the otherwise normal course of estate planning or estate administration. This option can be discussed during the consultation meeting.
